Atlanta Business Chronicle honors MBA student Willie Sullivan as 'Rising Star'
As momentum around the fight for racial equity began rising last spring, so did ideas of how Goizueta Business School could make a difference. MBA student Willie Sullivan was awarded the Leaders in Corporate Citizenship “Rising Star” Award for creating last month’s John R. Lewis Racial Justice Case Competition.

The National Academies’ Action Collaborative on Preventing Sexual Harassment in Higher Education has launched a new partner network to engage higher education–focused organizations to share their work on preventing and addressing sexual harassment in the industry.

A new lecture series showcasing Emory faculty scholarship on race, ethnicity and social justice launches March 5. Faculty members Dianne M. Stewart and Tayari Jones will discuss their research into the Black family and how their work overlaps.

'21-day Compassion Challenge' launches March 6
The Compassion Center at Emory invites people to recognize their capacity for compassion and learn how to practice it each day by participating in a "21-day Compassion Challenge" in March.

Film screening to highlight legacies of civil rights leaders John Lewis, C.T. Vivian
"Art Meets Activism: John Lewis, C.T. Vivian and 'The Baptism,'" a virtual film screening and discussion, is set for March 7 at 3 p.m. to commemorate the 56th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement’s "Bloody Sunday."

Infant mortality consortium, pioneered by Emory-Ethiopia Partnership, receives $4.5 million grant
Emory’s School of Nursing is part of a multinational consortium working to reduce infant mortality in Ethiopia. Saving Little Lives at Birth has also been named the flagship program of the Ethiopian Ministry of Health, an endorsement highlighting the importance of maternal-infant health to Ethiopia’s well-being.

Emory Healthcare and the Atlanta Falcons held a ribbon cutting last week, officially opening the doors to a new musculoskeletal and sports medicine clinic, located at the IBM Performance Fields, home of the Atlanta Falcons.
